REVIEW: Forbidden Dance by Deanna Roy

I got this book to review via Xpresso tours, my opinion is my own and I am not being compensated for this review.

Well, I’m just going to say that I didn’t actually finish the book because it was too predictable for my liking. EVERY TROPE I’VE READ ABOUT IN NEW ADULT WAS PRESENT IN THIS BOOK. I gave this book 0.5 stars.

I get that this was a slightly different story about dancing and stuff, but I don’t even remember the names of the characters, that’s how much I didn’t connect with this book at all. It was overly predictable with the girl who has a bad past, over protective parents and falls head-over-heels instantly in love with the bad-boy-rebel that just happens to be her love interest. Have I mentioned how much I hate instalove? Well, I hate it a lot, especially in books like this. I can’t really remember what I read, but I only got 60%ish through it and had to just stop because I was just skimming the pages and not really reading the book. I didn’t want to find out what happened to them, and I didn’t really care what happened to them either, because I already knew what was going to eventually happen, they fall madly in love and her secret comes out. Am I right?

This book seemed like it was gonna be something I’d like when I signed up for the review, but I just can’t enjoy something I’ve read several times already with different characters and scenarios.
