My Thrillerathon TBR
Why HELLO! I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated but I have a readathon I’m partaking in! My goal is to hopefully do pretty good with this one since I usually fail most readathons I attempt. This one takes place from Aug 20 to 26 (2018) and it’s called ThrillerAThon, you basically read thrillers all week. There are challenges, but I’m slightly refraining as I blindly pulled books out of my tbr cup for this. I will have all book titles linked to their Goodreads pages for if you would like a synopsis!
I’m currently reading Providence by Caroline Kepnes on my Kindle, this will be a buddy read with my buddy Kris from blackcatkai! I also go pretty blindly into most books lately so I really have no idea what it’s about minus it being the one new release I’ve picked out. I’m already 33% into it and I’m still trying to get into it, hopefully something profound will happen and I’ll be hooked.
My second read is an audiobook I borrowed from my library! I grabbed Bonfire by Kristen RItter. Again, I have no clue what its about, but I’m hoping I’ll like it since I also own the physical book for this one.
My first physical book I’m reading is In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. I’m about 10 pages in and still have no clue what’s going on haha. I’ve had this book on my tbr for a good while and I’m glad it was chosen from the cup so I can enjoy it. I own every Ruth Ware book she has published and I can’t wait to see what I think of her prose and how she plots.
The second physical book is The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I’m excited to read this one as well seeing I’ve heard so much hype over this series, especially once the spin-off came out. It’s been on my radar for a while too, at least two to three years at the most, so here’s hoping I like it so I can carry on with the rest of the series.
The third physical book I chose out of my jar of goodies is The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich. I enjoyed her other book, As the Trees Crept In, and it was CREEPY AS HECK. I’m anxiously excited to see what she did in her debut novel to bring the creep factor.
So let’s hope that I can get most of these read in the week this is going on. I also work 30 hours a week, so let’s hope it’s somewhat accomplished. I only have one book from the library, so most of these I can just carry on with reading after the readathon is finished.
Are you planning on partaking in this readathon?!
