My Current Reads- May 2106
So, currently I’m working through The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. I’m hoping to finish them (books 2 and 3) by the end of April; I am also working on a review of all three books. But, for my actual TBR has quite a few books, including the book I didn’t get to this month, Cleopatra.
So, I started reading The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West and am loving it. It is the perfect “fluffy” read I was needing after the two books I powered through. A girl, Gia, gets dumped in the parking lot at prom. SHe happens to see a guy sitting in his car after he dropped his sister off and asks him to be her fill-in boyfriend for prom; it just gets better and better while reading this. This is also my first Kasie West book, but I’m loving her writing style and can’t wait to read more from her in the future.
The book I’m trying to get into again, for the second time, is Jenny Han’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I’ve heard so much good stuff about this book and it’s companion P.S. I Still Love You that it’s made me want to give it a second go. The premise is that Lara Jean writes love letters to the guys she likes at school, but someone sends out the letters and she doesn’t know who. She now has to confront all these letters she’s poured her heart into.
These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas is a story that takes place in England 1882. I’m going into this one slightly blind, but it has magic in it and apparently some mystery along with some romance.
Another book I’m going blindly into is Signs Point to Yes by Sandy Hall. It’s been a while since I’ve put this on my list, and by golly I’m gonna read it this month! I’m excited to read this, I had started it back in September, but didn’t finish it because I had other things to read and I wasn’t in the mood.
The next book is for my bookclub at work. It’s a re-read for me, but it’s still amazing. We’re reading The Diviners by Libba Bray. I absolutely LOVE this book. It’s got a little bit of everything, a little romance, some creepy stuff and of course some occult-ish things. .
If I get all of these books read I’d be so happy! I’ll try to post reviews for all of the books mentioned. Happy Reading!
