My Autumn TBR | 2017

So, since I’m completely ready for autumn (or fall for you folks) and I’m over the heat of summer I’m going to start my Autumn TBR list. I only have about 5 books in my list for all of autumn and am completely happy with the ones I chose! Here is my list!

The first book I probably will start it before September and post a review of is Odd and True by Cat Winters. I got the Advanced copy at one of the book festivals I went to in the spring and I’ve been holding out on reading it since it comes out in September. It’s about these sisters that hunt and kill monsters because their mother had been doing it before. I’m excited about this because the last few Cat Winters books I’ve read I FLEW through.

The second book is going to be a buddy-read with Chelsea from Chelseadollingreads (on Youtube) and it’s A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I have started this book a bit ago, but recently Chelsea was talking about it and we decided to buddy-read it! Its about this woman who is descended from witches and has discovered a specific book that only certain people can open that had been believed to have been lost for centuries.

The next book I wanna read is In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. This is her first novel and it’s a psychological thriller which makes me even more excited for it!

After that book I would like to read The Heretic’s Daughter by Kathleen Kent. It’s about the witch trials in Salem and how it is in the life of someone who is accused of being a “witch” in their terms back in the 1600’s. I’m doing a buddy read on this book with one of my besties, Brittany. I got her this book  for her birthday in hopes to buddy read it in the fall.

Finally the last book I would like to get to is Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. I pretty much am planning on going into this one blind because that’s how I like going into thriller/mysteries. But from what I got from the synopsis is that the main character is on the run from a killer that had killed her mom and two sisters; a lot of people said its better than Gone Girl, which I haven’t read.

Here is the link to the video I uploaded about this as well!
