July TBR 2016
Well, since we’re a little over a week into July I figured I’d post my very small July TBR! I really only have a couple books I want to get to this month and finish. I have started all of these books and hope to finally finish one of them, and maybe spin off into a reading maniac. I’ve had a bad reading slump, and am finally getting back into my groove. I’ve also started adding coloring into my nights before bed, to reduce some stress I may have that day/week. So, here we go!
Book 1: I want to finish reading Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. I started this last month, but with all the shootings and killings as of late in America and Europe I haven’t been really excited to read about murder. I’m about a quarter into it, and was loving it. So let’s hope I can jump back into it this month and finish it.
Book 2: I’ve been wanting to read this book of a while and finally picked it up because I wanted to know more about the company I work for and how it came to be what it is today. The book is Pour Your Heart Into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time by Howard Shultz and Dori Jones Yang. I’m about half-way through and am learning so much from it. Finding out how the company became what it is today, how it started out and where the name “Starbucks” even came from is so interesting. I’m planning on reading the second book, Onward, soon after I finish this one.
Book 3: I have been struggling to read a good Stephen King book, and I finally saw that Bazaar of Bad Dreams had gone to the regular book shelf at the library instead of the 7-day rental one. I’m half-way through and LOVE all the short stories and the little insights and origins of the stories before them. It’s the first Stephen King book I believe I’ve ever read, which is amazingly hard to believe since my dad has been collecting his books for YEAR (and I mean like over 20 years).
The rest of the books I read are just bonuses for the month. I’ve already finished a book and am half-way through another on my Kindle. I finally have all my books on my shelf, which I have a video of me organizing them on my YouTube channel (here’s the video!)
Happy reading and have fun!
