Halloween Read-A-Thon 2017!
I would loveeeee to thank Lauren from WonderlessReviews for coming up with this amazing readathon! Here is her post about the readathon! All of my goodreads links will be editions that I am using in this readathon.
Read a book with a *creepy* cover: I’m choosing The Dead Zone by Stephen King. The edition I have has a creepy cover.
Read a supernatural or paranormal book: I chose Odd & True by Cat Winters. Sisters that kill monsters, need I explain more?
Read a horror or thriller book: I am buddy reading ‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King with a friend this month, so it made this one a no brainer.
Read a book after sunset: I chose The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken. I have this on my kindle so it’ll be easy to read when it gets dark outside.
Watch a horror/thriller movie: I don’t know if this counts, but I’ve been wanting to watch the adaptation on Netflix of Gerald’s Game (a Stephen King novel), but it is a small series. If that doesn’t count, then I’ll probably find something random to watch on Hulu, Netflix or on dvd from my local library.
I’m going with TRICK on this one, I chose Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. I love short story collections, and this is a horror/thriller short story collection by various YA authors.
Read 7 books: *IF* I accomplish all of these crazy books I’ll finish reading Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. I happen to have this on my kindle as well, so it should be a fast read even though its like 800 pages, then I will try to read The Witches by Roald Dahl. Gotta throw in a kids book for good measure!
Thank you once again Lauren for this, and hopefully I’ll be able to accomplish most of these challenges!
